5 Things Every Successful Startup Needs

April 16, 2020 by Jarred

Think you have the next big idea? Before you go taking out any business loans, make sure you have an air-tight plan in place. Too many entrepreneurs are overly anxious to launch their startup company and pull the trigger before thinking through every single detail.

More often than not, this type of oversight leads to costly consequences and forces business owners to shut their doors before they even had a chance at success. Beat the odds of failure and avoid becoming another statistic by having these five tenets in place.

  • Business Plan & Projection

The most expensive mistake you can make as an entrepreneur is to skip the market research and analysis stage of business planning. In order to create a value position, you need to identify what makes your business unique. How does your product or service provide a solution to a need? Who is your target audience? Why would they choose your offering over the competition’s?

Keep these questions in mind while setting your price and creating your sales projection. Identify at what point in time you’ll start flipping a profit and pull enough revenue to offset startup costs, then present these calculations to investors when it comes time to obtain funding.

  • Sustainable Funding & Marketing

Some entrepreneurs choose to launch their startup with their own capital, but this is a risky move. Should anything go sideways, then so too will your personal investment. Rather than placing your livelihood on the line, explore different funding options available to you, some of which are more sustainable than others.

From partnerships with investors in exchange for equity, to crowdsourced campaigns on Kickstarter, every deal will come with different terms—be sure to go with the model that makes the most sense long-term, not the one that provides the fastest solution to your problem. Usually, the easier it is to get funding, the higher the interest rates are on the loan.

Be sure that whatever funds you do obtain are carefully allocated between overhead costs and marketing initiatives. For example, you don’t want to spend too much money on direct mail marketing only to realize your audience is best reached through digital channels. Once you have the capital, make it last for as long as possible.

  • Employee Recruitment & Retention Strategy

You need to hire the best employees you can find, so it’s wise to formulate a recruitment strategy that attracts the best applicants on the job market. Whether you post available positions on job board sites or head to a local career fair, the role description should highlight reasons why someone would want to work for you over the next company.

When you locate a potential hire, confirm that the candidate is who they say they are by running a criminal background check. What is a background check? Essentially, they can reveal red flags if your applicant has relevant criminal offenses in their history, suggesting they’re not the best fit for the job.

After making the best possible hires, increase their odds of them sticking around by creating an employee retention program. This helps reduce the cost of turnover while uplifting company culture and moral.

  • Well-Built Website & UX

In order to attract business, you’ll need a website that’s built with search engine optimization (SEO) in mind. SEO refers to the strategies and practices used to boost your online presence by appearing higher on the search engine results page (SERP). Remember to claim your listing on local business platforms with contact information and hours of operation, regardless of whether you run a brick-and-mortar space or an ecommerce storefront.

Your site’s architecture needs to be properly indexed so that Google can crawl its pages, and the design should consider user experience to increase your chances of converting traffic into paying customers.

  • Organized Bookkeeping & Accounting

Finally, it’s critical that small business owners adopt a meticulous accounting process to ensure no transaction, small or large, falls through the cracks. Falling behind on quarterly estimated tax payments can lead to large penalties and interest fees, and there will be very little margin for error within your business budget.

If you keep your company organized and your books balanced, your goal of a success will be within close reach.

4 Tips For Handling Divorce With Children

April 14, 2020 by Jarred

Divorce is something that is difficult for a person of any age. However, it can be especially confusing and emotional for children in particular. When a divorcing couple has children, it can be complicated deciding who has custody. When so many things come into play, children often end up finding themselves in the middle.

As parents, it’s important to help your children understand the process and guide them through their feelings of anxiety. You may also be feeling anxious yourself, which can be especially difficult since you are trying to put on a brave face for your kids. It’s normal to feel like the world is falling from under you when divorcing with kids.

To help you navigate the process, here are some of the best tips for handling divorce with children.

Be Honest With Your Kids

In an attempt to try to protect your children, you may be tempted to hide the truth from them. However, hiding the truth from them will only cause problems down the road. It’s important to be matter-of-fact and honest about what’s happening.

Use age-appropriate language to help the children understand.

Toddlers may not understand unless you use simplistic phrases. Tell them that you aren’t going to be together anymore but that you still love them. Explain where they will live and what their routine will look like. By being as honest as possible as early as possible, you’ll be able to move closer towards resolution.

Be As Peaceful As Possible

Even though you may be tempted to explode, it’s important to keep the peace when possible. Even though young children may not necessarily understand the things you’re saying, they’ll still feel the stress.

Try to remain calm when you interact with the other parent. If you start to feel yourself losing patience, then you should walk away until you feel calmer. Becoming irritated in front of your children can make things worse. Keeping the peace will ensure your child doesn’t feel like they’re in the middle.

Reassure Your Child

It’s not uncommon for children to feel like things are their fault. It’s important that you remind them how much they are loved and that nothing is their fault. Remind them that they aren’t at fault and that even though things may change, they will still have two parents who love them very much.

Try To Maintain A Routine

One of the most challenging parts of divorce is the family’s routine getting interrupted. Even though things may not continue exactly as they did before, it’s important to try to maintain a routine as much as possible. Keep them involved in their regular activities and continue to do things you did before, even though it may require some adjustments.

Cleaning hacks: How to make the difference in unthinkable places

April 14, 2020 by Jarred

Several years ago, it would have sounded ridiculous. Now, cleaning has become fashionable.

One only has to glance at Instagram to see this in its full flow. There are now influencers who have made an entire livelihood about their cleaning stories – and the whole world has bought into this.

The best thing about this new cleaning phenomenon is that you don’t have to spend hours every day to make the difference. More and more hacks are entering the picture each day and through the course of today’s article, we will take a look at some of our favorite ones.

Get the feel-good factor with your oven

It’s tucked away, where nobody can see, so a lot of us immediately decide that the oven isn’t worth of being looked at. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Read as many tips for cleaning your oven safely, as this can make a difference to everything.

Firstly, it’s a psychological thing. If you clean your oven, it sets the tone for cleaning the rest of your home.

Then, there are the odors. You’ll notice a considerable difference the first time you clean your oven; gone are the days of that terrible odor occupying the room (or in severe cases, the entire house).

…And then move onto the dishwasher

If there ever was a case of killing two birds with one stone, it comes with the dishwasher. Just like the oven, it’s one of those appliances that most of us completely ignore. At the same time, it’s also one that can rescue other areas of our home. Not only are you sprucing up the appliance itself, but you are hopefully doing the same for the glasses and other cookware that you are cleaning.

After all, if not properly maintained, dishwashers can develop all sorts of problems which make them utterly ineffective for their original purpose.

Tackle the baseboards

We’ve spoken about the appliances, but one area which a lot of people completely neglect is the baseboards. Considering the fact that these are around the perimeter of our entire home, overlooking them is bordering on a crime!

As such, sweep away the dust, give the area a vacuum, and get to work. You’ll probably need a damp cloth and a cleaning product – although make sure the detergent in question is compatible with wood.

Never forget the blinds

By the same token, the blinds are another area which are also forgotten about. Again, they are probably in every room of your home, and they are arguably looked at more than any other part of your home. Despite this, be honest with yourself when you ask just when the last time you dusted them really was.

There are some specialist blind cleaning products out there, but at the same time you can take matters into your own hands. Depending on the type of blind you have, some might be machine washable, while others might just need a duster. Try and carry this out every couple of months as it will make a monumental difference to each room in your home.

How to cut costs when moving home

April 14, 2020 by Jarred

It’s exciting and signals a new chapter of your life. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives stop. Moving home is stressful and if you’re not careful, it can also be really expensive.

This is going to be the focus of our post today. No, we’re not going to tell you how to negotiate on your next house price – there are plenty of guides that will do this for you. Instead, this is all about saving money after you have agreed your purchase, as this is the period where you will feel as though you are leaking money and can’t do anything to stop it.

Have a solid plan in place

It’s one of the oldest clichés around, but “fail to plan, and you’re planning to fail”.

When it comes to a house move, leaving everything until the last minute just isn’t an option. You need to abide by a checklist when moving house, as the more things you leave until the last minute, the greater the expenses become. Unfortunately, this can be a greedy industry and if you do for example require a removal service one week before the big day, the chances of getting a competitive rate slide considerably. This happens to be the case for most services related to your move.

…But always have a backup plan as well

While having a plan is important, so is having a backup plan. One thing that is certain during this process is that changes will happen. Or, rephrasing that, delays will happen.

Based on this, always have a backup plan in mind. Like the previous point we mentioned, it will help with your costs.

Never buy your own boxes

Here’s a simple tip; never be fooled into buying purpose-built moving boxes. Sure, they might look the part and be well made, but there’s absolutely no need for such an approach. Instead, ask your local supermarket, who will have hundreds of boxes they are giving away free.

Invest in decluttering

It’s something that is seemingly talked about in the media all the time, but when it comes to a cheap house move decluttering can be one of the best things you do.

Over the years we all accumulate all sorts of junk, and now is the opportunity to eliminate this. Not only will it reduce your stress levels, but it will also reduce your moving costs significantly.

Be wary of food wastage

Something that doesn’t often get mentioned during these moves is food wastage. You are turning off your fridge and freezer as you uproot them to their new location, so it stands to reason that you have to be careful with some foods. In some cases, you might have to lose it all, with this particularly the case with frozen foods. In others, with a bit of shrewd planning, you can make sure it stays intact though. It might be by borrowing a friend’s appliance, or even using a travel fridge during your move. Either way, invest some thought into this, so you don’t have to completely replenish your food stocks.

Home Improvement – 5 Upgrades That Will Add Value To Your Home

April 13, 2020 by Jarred

Whether you’re looking to sell your house, flip an investment or simply level up the family home, upgrading certain areas is going to add more value than others. Upgrades can give a home a boost in sale price. Here are five upgrades that will add both functionality and monetary value to your property:

Turn Up The Heat

The kitchen is a great place to start when upgrading your home because, no matter what your budget is, you can add a decent chunk of value. If you’re looking for a full upgrade, consider updating your appliances as these will make great selling points (and make your life easier and more energy-efficient if you’re not intending on selling). Induction stoves are favorite on the market at the moment as they’re far superior to electric options in regards to cooking and control and safer than a gas cooktop.

Just don’t forget to get induction cookware to go with your new appliance or cooking will be a tad difficult. Installing a dishwasher is another great way to add value. If you’re hunting for a budget solution, you’d be surprised but how much of a difference a fresh coat of paint on your cabinetry and updated handles can make.

Bathe In Greatness

Another great place to add value is the bathroom. If you’ve got the budget, transforming your bathroom into a full wet room can provide a multitude of benefits. On a practical level, it will greatly improve the longevity of the room and reduce your maintenance requirements as your walls and floor will be watertight, but it will also increase your sale price. Even simply updating your shower head can be quite beneficial to your water usage and bottom line.

Soak Up Some Rays

Solar panels are the perfect addition to any home. One of the main benefits of installing solar panels is that they increase the sustainability of the dwelling, which is great for your sale price in a society that is forever hunting ways to be kinder to our environment. But they will also greatly reduce your electricity bill, and, in some circumstances, can completely remove the need to pay for power from the grid.

Block The World Out

If your home doesn’t have proper window furnishing, you’re losing valuable insulation and privacy. If you’re making improvements to sell, stick to roller or Venetian blinds in neutral colors but if you’re just looking to upgrade your home for your own enjoyment, feel free to go all out with drapes in whatever color scheme suits your style. The main thing you’re hunting here is full coverage of your window to help prevent temperature transference between your inner and outer worlds. A sheer blind or curtain is also a great idea if you like to have your windows open during the day but still want privacy from nosy neighbors.

Dry Off

This one may seem a little odd, but if you don’t have a proper clothesline, and you have the room to install one, do so. It will make drying your clothes so much easier, appeal to family buyers and reduce your power bill as there will be fewer times when you’re required to use your dryer.

Whether you intend on selling now or just want to upgrade and add value for the future, the suggestions in this article will serve you well. Make sure to keep things general if you’re looking to flip the property and go out and get your bank.

How To Find An Affair on AshleyMadison.com

April 13, 2020 by Jarred

The world we know about but don’t know much about is that of secret affair dating. I mean we get the gist of it, the fact that you are hooking up with someone who isn’t your partner. See what I mean here, but people have this ‘other’ life for years, and with multiple other halves.

If this is your kind of thing then you have come to the right place, grab yourself a cup of tea, or gin & tonic if you’re feeling festive and sit back with some great reading.

Affairs.

Also known as ‘extramarital’ affairs or relationships outside of marriage without the spouse being aware has become almost the norm for some people. They may not even have a bad relationship going on, but simply looking for that extra bit of excitement that comes from being out of the norm, out of the day to day routine of life.

Some people feel they can better themselves as a person regarding their persona and in a physical sense by taking a break and getting that thrill of being with someone else. They can then go home and appreciate what they do have.

Why people have affairs?

Some of the more common reasons I’ve come across while doing my research is the fact that couples have drifted apart, emotionally. Life has been taken up by work, stress and raising a family that their lifestyle is more about function than intimacy. This can lead to either one looking for a bit of excitement to relight the spark.

If you don’t feel like you are loved.

I had a moment of this myself, I am very expressive and creative and show love with gifts and arts and crafts and words. My husband, on the other hand, is from a post-communist country where feelings were squashed and he grew up in a household where emotions weren’t portrayed, so I struggled in the beginning.

But I can completely understand where this point of view might emanate from, this is why communication is key.

There are plenty of others, read about why people cheat in this blog, and it may offer some advice if not to you for a friend who is going through a particularly rough patch. We are not alone in any situation, there is always someone who is going through the same thing or who has come out the other end alive and with valuable opinions.

Online websites for affairs and hookups.

The internet is a magical and crazy place, it seems we can find anything we could ever imagine to be stated and recorded in some way for us to peruse. This is no different when it comes to finding a site in search of a thrill, someone who excites you that you thought in reality, would not.

How to find these places you ask, well type in any keywords into a search engine and hundreds of websites will pop up. Your job is to sieve through the dodgy looking ones claiming to fill your every desire and picking the ones that exude professionalism and security. You aren’t looking to advertise you are having an affair now, are you?

Certain factors if not available should raise a red flag. Things like keeping images, profiles and messages private for your viewing only until you decide to share it with someone that piques your interest. The more up to date and with some expertise in the field sites will offer the feature of blurring parts of images or backgrounds to increase anonymity.

I’ve come across a few that stood out when compiling the facts and fiction, and then some that I wouldn’t touch with a 10-foot pole.

But for quality you can rely on when it comes to satisfying your needs all the while maintaining a sense of confidentiality, visit https://breakupshop.com/ashley-madison-reviews/ and delve into your new experience with confidence.

6 Benefits of Using an affair website.

  • Independent. You don’t link any social media accounts to this when you sign up, and they shouldn’t encourage that you do either. Discretion is what you’re looking for.
  • Photos. You can choose which images to upload and when you feel comfortable doing so, you also have the luxury to edit them how you see fit in your profile.
  • Packages. Fees to join are staggered so no being roped into a lump sum of money and for a longer period than you might like. You choose the option suited to your finances as well as lifestyle and what you’re looking for.
  • Judgment free zone. Everyone is there for the same reason, so you don’t have to feel guilty or hide behind any facade when chatting to others.
  • Information. You can tell people only what you want them to know, as little or as much as you like. No harassing questionnaires to fill out or surveys to complete. Simply fill in your profile page and they’ll know what you feel is necessary.
  • Time. It saves you a lot if you don’t have to woo and tease people whose profiles have caught your attention. The site is for like-minded individuals so the frills are left out and you can get on with the business in hand.

This is not a light decision to make, to begin with, you may be nervous or scared, so are others. Take the time to think about it, and when you’re ready, give it all you’ve got. You haven’t come for second place have you?

How to Develop A Deeper Appreciation for Piano Playing in Children

April 8, 2020 by Jarred

What do you do when your child’s enthusiasm for playing piano seems to wane? In most cases, the child is simply fatigued with having a full schedule, so it’s up to you as the parent to work this out with your child and give them more breaks. This would also give you the opportunity to come up with other activities that can keep your child interested in learning to play piano.

It all starts with helping children develop an appreciation for music itself while showing how creating music through piano playing can be fun with the right lessons. Here are some great ideas to achieve just that.

Switch up the music

Here’s one painful truth for many parents: playing Bach, Chopin and other classical piano pieces may not be a hundred percent relevant to your child’s everyday life. Your child may have a wide variety of other interests, such as soccer, astronomy, dance or world history. However, here’s another truth that can make you feel better: you can keep the fire burning through music in general. What songs does your child like to listen to? What genre of music makes them bop their head or move their body? If your child seems to grow bored with playing classical piano pieces, then switch to something they are more familiar with and would enjoy playing. This would make them look forward to learning a new piece and practice.

Go to concerts

Your child needs a break from the piano every once in a while. Take every opportunity to go with them to watch live gigs and concerts of the artists they like, and even those they are not familiar with yet. Attending live performances broadens your child’s musical experience and lets them learn about other musicians. Watching musicians in action can help them reflect on their own playing, realize how much piano means to them and motivate them to keep on playing.

Make games a part of practice time

For children learning to play piano, practice is more effective when it’s more like play. Playing something on repeat so one can become better at it sounds necessary but ultimately boring for a child. However, when you package practice as a time of play while making music, it’s a lot more appealing and fun. Toss in some rewards or prizes (like colorful beads they can string together into a bracelet) and you’ll make practice time something that your child will definitely look forward to. There are tons of piano practice games you can play with your child and tweak according to your child’s interests and level of learning. You can even come up with your own practice games!

Compose a simple song

Another way you can help your child develop a deeper appreciation for piano is by encouraging them to create their own simple musical pieces about anything and everything. A ditty about their dog, a silly song about losing a tooth, even just a do-re-mi song of your family members’ names is sure to get your child’s creative juices flowing and make them more motivated to learn.

Do you know of other ways to keep piano lessons fun and interesting for children? Share them here!

Build Your First Serious Gaming PC

April 8, 2020 by Jarred

Everyone knows that the PC is the ultimate gaming machine. People who deny that are just too deep in their bias or are simply in denial. Most PCs can stand toe-to-toe – or even rise above – conventional consoles when it comes to graphics, number of games, and multiplayer experience. However, you can go above and beyond the typical gaming experience by building a dedicated gaming PC.

Don’t Buy Pre-made

While most professional gamers get their desktops or laptops pre-made, the majority of PC gamers build theirs from scratch. Creating your own rig gives you the freedom to customize your setup, making it as basic or as ostentatious as you want it to be. Of course, assembling the parts and building your own PC will cost significantly less (or more if you go that route). You can do it on your own or buy the parts through a store. Their dedicated computer builder can do the assembly for you.

Determine Its Use

Gaming might not be the only purpose of your rig. Although your PC might be primarily used for gaming, you won’t be able to say no to a sibling or parent who needs to use it in an emergency. Make sure to note all the possible uses of your PC (printing, streaming movies, video editing, etc.) and buy the necessary parts and peripherals required.

How Much Space Do You Have?

You can build small and compact or imposingly large. Opt for a smaller casing (and configuration) if you don’t have space, but go for a tower if you have it. A larger casing makes it easier to slip in add-ons like liquid coolants or LED lights. Even if you’re okay with standard cooling measures (fans and whatnot), a bigger casing makes it easier for air to flow and keep your rig cool. It also makes it easier to remove and replace components when repairing or upgrading, especially if you have big hands.

Opt for a 6-core or More if You want to Try VR

Most PC games will run on a decent quad-core processor. However, investing in a faster and more powerful processor ensures that your PC can run more complex games released a few years from now. Opt for a 6-core or 8-core to cover all your bases, especially if you’re planning to run virtual reality (VR) games.

Don’t Go Overboard on RAM

Having a bit of RAM (pun intended) is fine, but you don’t need to push it to the limit. Even the most complex games out right now only require 3GB of RAM. While some operating systems can recognize up to 512GB or even 1TB of RAM, you simply have no use for that much. 8GB of RAM should be enough to cover the next 5-10 years of your gaming life. Save on RAM, but…

Splurge on Graphics

4K gaming, multiple screens, 100+ FPS – the stuff that elevates your gaming experience relies on a great graphics card. Opt for one of the latest ones if you can afford it or go down the line until you find one that suits your budget. Don’t bother using two on a single PC. Although the practice was once possible (even encouraged), newer motherboards might have driver issues and most games will only recognize one.

Welcome to the world of elite gaming. With your new gaming rig, you can look down on the peasants on their consoles, their single screens, and 60 FPS games.
